90 Years on Golden Wings – AFB Swartkop Pretoria, 14 August 2010 from 07:00 to19:00
The SA Air Force Museum will be hosting the only Air Force Air Show to be held in Pretoria during 2010.
It will be held at Swartkop Airfield alongside Old Johannesburg Road in Valhalla, Pretoria, and the theme of this Airshow is ‘’90 Years on Golden Wings’’.
The Aircraft of the Air Force Museum, including the “C-47 Dakota”, is currently celebrating its’ 75th anniversary, and other vintage aircraft such as the Vampire celebrating 60th anniversary.
The “90th” theme was chosen to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the South African Air Force.
• The Air Force Aerobatic Stars, the “Silver Falcons”
• as well as Gripen,
• Hawk,
• Alo II & III; Puma,
• Dakota,
• Harvard 7111 & 7072,
• C-130,
• CASA 235,
• Cessna C208,
• Oryx,
• Agusta 109,
• Falcon 500,
• Albatros,
• Pitts Specials
• and aerobatic teams from the public sector are again on the programme to entertain the public that day.
